ESPY
-
Epsy—a term meaning “to catch sight of” or “to notice something elusive”—embodies the essence of this photographic series. These images explore the natural world through a queer lens, both literally and metaphorically, challenging conventional ways of seeing.
Rooted in the traditions of Pictorialism, the series employs vintage lens techniques to soften, distort, and reimagine the landscape. This approach embraces imperfection and fluidity, mirroring the ephemeral nature of both the environment and identity. The images becomes an intimate meditation on visibility, presence, and the fleeting beauty of the world around us.
