Art as healing and community building

Nanette Burti is a ceramist and artist residing in Dalton, PA.

She built her studio and community space for members. Burti Ceramics has a hand-building area with slab roller, an extruder and large tables for clay construction, an area for wheel throwing and bisque kilns. In addition, a separate area for glaze making and a gas kiln. Members participate in all aspects of clay art.

Nan’s work has been on exhibit throughout the greater Northeastern Pennsylvania area.

Dennis Corrigan is an illustrator, painter, and media artist residing in South Abington Township, PA.

Dennis’ career features that of a professor and instructor within higher education featuring 3D design, illustration, painting, and drawing. His work spans 2D drawn and digital work, painting, 3D puppets and sculptures, and video art. His work has been featured in Time Magazine and displayed at the Metropolitan Museum for Modern Art.

Bill Pilling is a painter, illustrator, and assemblage artist residing in Old Forge, PA.

His career has been within design including as architect drafter and multiple design businesses. Bill’s work centers on the assemplage and arrangement of found objects combined with his personal paintings and illustrations to create worlds of mystery.

john bromberg

John Bromberg is a large scale puppet artist and performer residing in Lakewood, PA.

His career jumpstarted young as a minimalist painter, which morphed into activist collaboration driven performances as part of his group Pictures Moved by Strings. John’s work has been featured at many museums and universities as well as the celebration of his long time run Mudball festival.
